Tomorrow’s Engineers EEP Robotics Challenge 2017-2018
Congratulations to the 9 Year 7’s that attended the challenge, held at BAE Systems, winning the Robot Design Award for this year. They worked hard all day, in a fast paced environment, delivering a presentation on humanitarian aid, programming and building a robot to complete several humanitarian aid challenges, a teamwork challenge which was a surprise on the day, as well as delivering their robot design ideas to a panel. They were fantastic all day and really impressed the judges with their teamwork, wit and honesty. Joint third overall, they narrowly missed out on the National Final. Mrs Caw was excited to receive her teacher award too! The rest of STEM Club sadly weren’t able to attend the day however they also played a large part in the success of the group so a big thank you and well done is also required for their hard work. The winners on the day were Anand Cassie, Niamh Cobb, Ruby Corbishley, Madeleine Hawtin, Aidan Heys, Jacob Kimmins, Abigail Landry, Ka Fai Wan and Jack Worthington. Well done everyone!
