Student council meeting

The latest school council meeting began by talking to a member of the kitchen staff about options for soup in winter and perhaps the opportunity to have a salad bar to encourage healthy eating further within school.

First Aid training was a popular idea and we all agreed the importance of basic self-defence and that the chance to do more of it is essential. Celebrations for the 40th anniversary was a prominent topic and suggestions of an Olympic games or a school badge filled with everybody’s faces were popular ones.

We concluded our meeting by discussing teaching and Learning and in particular how in some subjects it can be challenging to move up and down sets.

Information from this meeting shall be fed back to the year group by their year councillor. If anybody has any ideas please submit them to your form representatives.
