Primary Maths Challenge

A huge thank you and congratulations to our Feeder Primary Schools for taking part in our 40th Anniversary Primary Maths Challenge.

28 Year 6 pupils attended our third bi-annual Primary Maths Challenge on Wednesday 27th April. The pupils impressed us all with their fantastic problem solving skills, their rigorous attitude and their enthusiasm for Mathematics. They worked incredibly well in their designated teams to complete 5 challenges, all linked to the Anniversary of the school.

All teams performed excellently and the final leader board was very close, however, a special congratulations to the top 3 teams…

• First Place: St Mary Magdalens Team B
• Second Place: St Mary Magdalens Team A
• Third Place: St Oswalds Team B

Thank you to all the Primary School teachers and parents for supporting this event. We hope you had a great evening. A special mention must also go to our Year 10 Buddies, who gave up their evening to help co-ordinate the event.

Final congratulations to the fantastic Year 6 pupils; we look forward to welcoming you as part of our Year 7 cohort in September.
