Rewards
Pupils are actively encouraged to collect rewards at All Hallows Catholic High School and they can be earned in a variety of ways. As a starting point every pupil is given 35 rewards per week, one for each lesson and one extra per day for their behaviour around school. These are added as a bulk award after each half term by Mr Finch.
Pupils can also earn extra rewards and these can be given by any of their teachers for a whole host of reasons, including any from the categories below:
Curriculum (Classwork or Homework)
- For outstanding effort
- For outstanding work
Contribution to the Catholic Ethos of the School
- Fundraising and Charity
- Liturgical Life of the School
- Living our Catholic Values
Pastoral
- Contribution to Form
SLT
- Assistance in School Event
- Prefect Award
- SLT Commendation
How are the Rewards used?
The pupils’ points are recorded and collated each week so that a weekly Form Competition can take place, with the winning Form receiving a small prize if they top the rewards chart. Then at the end of each Term a prize draw takes place where the pupils can win gift vouchers.
Whole School Rewards Trip
At the end of the academic year we run a rewards trip (generally to Blackpool Pleasure Beach). We hope that every pupil will have gained extra rewards over the course of the year and this is taken into account for the trip. We do reserve the right to remove pupils from the trip if they have been involved in serious or persistently poor behavioural incidents throughout the year.
