Mission Week Success

During the course of this week the Animate Youth Team from the Archdiocese of Liverpool have been in school leading us in Mission 2016. The theme, as I am sure you know, has been to “Be the Face of Mercy”. Something which will become a theme for us throughout the year reflecting Pope Francis’ plea for people to show mercy to those with whom they come into contact. Please continue to remind the pupils of the theme throughout the course of the year.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Fr Simon Gore and the Animate Team for the excellent way in which they have led us through Mission Week. It has been an excellent week and a big success in school. They have also visited three of our partner primary schools and were very well received there. Thank you to all friends and families of the school who attended the community event on Thursday evening and thank you to Archbishop Malcolm McMahon who visited us on Friday.

Although Mission Week comes to an end today, we are hopeful that the message behind it will continue for the rest of the year.
