GCSE Results
Congratulations to the class of 2019!
Staff and parents gathered together at All Hallows this morning to celebrate the achievements of our pupils in this year’s GCSE examinations. Once again, pupils of all levels of ability have performed with distinction across the range of subject areas. Our ASDAN Key Skills group worked brilliantly with our SEND department, resulting in all candidates achieving Level 2 passes. 81% of pupils achieved a grade 4 or better in both English and Mathematics (standard pass), with 55% achieving a grade 5 or above in the same two subjects.
In total, our Year 11 cohort was awarded 84 grade 9’s and close to one third of all grades were awarded at grade 7 or above (grade 7 being equivalent to the previous A grade). Additionally, ten pupils out of the cohort of 181 achieved grade 7 or above in all of their nine GCSE subjects. The number of students achieving five grade 4’s or above (including E and M) was 76%, with 53% gaining five grade 5’s or above (including E and M). The progress of our pupils, as measured from their end of Key Stage 2 results was also very strong, with the cohort gaining a creditable positive Progress 8 score.
We are very proud of the academic outcomes of our pupils this year, but we recognise that these cannot be achieved without the dedication and commitment of our amazing staff and the unswerving support of our parents and carers. A huge thank you must go to all in the All Hallows community who have contributed to the successes of this year’s Year 11 pupils. Once again our pupils have risen to the academic challenges posed to them, while continuing to contribute massively to the wider life of our school. We wish them every future success as they embark upon the next chapter of their lives.
