GCSE 2015
We can at last now announce our final results for the public examinations held in summer 2015. Following huge numbers of re-marks an unprecedented 35 candidates had a grade change to the next highest grade. This reflects the disappointment we felt with certain aspects of the marking of the papers, especially in elements of French and English, whole groups of which were completely re-marked by the examination boards.
Our final results show that 75% of the year group achieved the standard attainment benchmark of 5+A*-C grades including English and Mathematics. From 2016, the main measures by which schools are judged, will be based on progress rather than attainment and I am delighted to announce that all our progress measures for this year group were outstanding. Many congratulations to the whole of the class of 2015 on their outstanding achievements.
