December Meeting
The most recent School Council meeting in December discussed the possibilities of more vegetarian food and also a salad bar which would encourage healthy eating, was once again mentioned, its popularity amongst all years has led to more inquiry in to the success in other schools. Furthermore hot chocolate for the colder months will be available in the morning and the suggestion of smoothies at lunch for the warmer months was also prevalent.
Feedback from year surveys concluded that perhaps having all syllabuses written down would help with revision and the issue of a consistently late bus needs to be solved alongside making bus prefects well known so pupils can speak to them when necessary.
With current national affairs British Values was mentioned and pupils discussed the influence of the media and importance of educating people on politics to avoid incorrect assumptions as well as informing pupils on religions and their culture to prevent discrepancy- this will form a large part of the enrichment day on the 17th December.
If anybody has anything they wish to input to school council please see your Student Council representative who will also be feeding information from the latest meeting to your form group.
