Child Sexual Exploitation Conference – Hilton Hotel Blackpool

On Tuesday 8th November we went to the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool to discuss CSE and how it affects young people. We started with a quiz to assess our knowledge, after this we attended 5 workshops looking at different aspects of CSE, including ‘sexting’, ‘grooming’ and myth busting. Our favourites were the Night Watch session where we watched short clips of an animated film and discussed what the issues were and how things could go wrong and the Nest Lancashire session where we created a comic strip to show what could happen if a young person was ‘groomed’. To end the day we went into the adult’s conference where some representatives of our group explained our views about what we had learnt during the day.
